The College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC, the College) is the national regulatory body that licenses and regulates Canadian immigration and citizenship consultants in the public interest. As a regulator, the College sets standards of education, professional practice and ethics for its licensees. By doing so, it can

• Ensure the fairest outcomes for people who want to
  immigrate to Canada, and
• Demonstrate that licensed immigration and citizenship
  consultants are trustworthy and ethical.

The College’s current federal mandate stems from the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and the Citizenship Act which require anyone providing Canadian immigration or citizenship advice or representation for a fee or other consideration to be a member in good standing of CICC.
